
The Center for International Programs (CIP) at VERITAS offers a wide variety of programs of different lengths in Costa Rica and Panama that can be combined and customized for different educational needs. Programs are divided into 6 main areas: Intensive Spanish language Courses, Integrated Studies with Costa Rican students in the Art, Design and Architecture Departments, Elective courses in different major fields, Short Term Programs in different fields, Customized and Faculty Led Programs Logistics Support and Internship opportunities.
• Intensive Spanish grammar 4 week courses (80 contact hours)
• Spanish for Health Professions 4 week course
• Spanish for Law Enforcement Professions 4 week course
Winter and Summer Bi-Modal Short Term Programs available in Ecological Photography, Tropical Architecture, Tropical Ecology, and Tropical Marine Biology.
A Cultural and Environmental Perspective Short Term Program of twelve days is offered for Freshmen groups in January and in June.
A Bi-Modal Basic Aerospace Engineering is also offered in June.
12- week or 5 week intensive Elective courses in Art, Design & Architecture, Latin-American Culture, Environmental Sciences, Health Sciences, Social Sciences and International Relations, International Business and Economics. Students who don’t have an advance level of Spanish can enroll in courses taught in English.
VERITAS coordinates with different NGO’s and companies to offer Internship and Service Learning Opportunities. Students who would like to experience the labor environment in Costa Rica can apply during their Junior or Senior year to work for 3 to 6 months in a project related to their field of study.
FOR ADVANCE SPANISH STUDENTS
Enroll with Costa Rican students. 15-week courses in Architecture, Interior Space Design, Product Design, Advertising Design, Digital Animation, Film & TV and Photography.
The CPI has structured “four station” highly experiential program on Cultural and Environmental Perspectives for senior high schooland freshmen groups. The main objective of this program is to provide a valuable international experience that will help students not only transition to a higher education “critical thinking” mode but will also motivate their interest in further pursuing an international experience later during their college career.
